Android Text editor for programming

Is there any text editor available for the Edge for programming C++/latex/etc. ?

I thought that maybe (since Android uses a linux kernel) there is a version of emacs, vi or something.

Any suggestions?

es file explorer has a text editor. plus samba client. and great file explorer

This is one functionality I'm missing as well.
When we get to froyo, there's an editor that has syntax highlighting we might be able to use
