PRS-600 error on downloading

We use Linux and download the titles to a folder. We then transfer them to a memory stick and load them into a win7 computer(this computer is powered off most of the time). When we try to load them into the PRS-600 we get the following message -- "failed to download content - 472".
If we use the win7 machine and download the titles everything seems to work. Can someone give me an explanation why we can't transfer the titles. The same thing happens is we transfer then via the network we have set up. It only allows us to directly download and transfer the content on the win7 machine.
