Check out this listing on eBay, then check her other listings. She's getting by with it because only the actual copyright holder can complain or report her.

It's her assertion that all his books are in public domain that I don't understand. Wouldn't have thought anyone could be that dumb.

Nobody ever went broke underestimating the intelligence of some people, you know the ones, they are those who get caught by the "too good to be true deals" that are too good to be true or send nice Nigerians all their bank details and personal info because they'll get 15% of the 10 million when it's sent to them...

They don't remove obviously pirated stuff? I just checked ebay's guidelines and they say under "Not Allowed" (along with a lot of other things)

It appears that last year she was selling pirated music burned to CD. Maybe she got caught and so changed to pirated books. A lot of them are in Kindle format.

Funny I thought you had to be dead for up to 100 yrs (depending on country) for your books to be PD. Perhaps someone should tell Mr.King about his demise since last I heard he was still very much among the living.

lol. I remember hearing how Mark Twain came to say that. A cousin of his had died apparently and someone got the idea that Mr. Twain was the one who had become deceased.

Guess you'd better not buy anything anywhere then, as people get scammed everywhere.

And unlike most real-world marketplaces, eBay has policies that may get you your money back if you get scammed.

Not if it's the seller that gets scammed they don't. Ebay is a thieves' paradise these days.
