something wrong with my kindle3's keys!

the problem like this:
when you press the HOME key to back to the home screen, the inputbox appears,show "5tdz", and you can not back! and any time you press the key T,D,Z, whatever you are doing with kindle3,it will back to the home screen!
in a word, the function of key HOME is raplaced by key T,D or Z, vice versa.
what can i do?

Sounds like a hardware problem. Contact Kindle customer service.

thank you guys!i accepted your advisement and contacted the cs!
i hope that i am lucky enough not to have a hardware problem, or it would be troublesome to return the kindle.

They probably will just replace your Kindle, as they usually do. Did you install any software modifications to your Kindle? If so, which ones?

Kindle replacement has to be the easiest thing yet. They actually mail you a new kindle w/ a box to mail back the old kindle. You're never w/out a kindle this way, and all your books are ready to re-download from the archive.

Unfortunately , you are right! I live in china . It is hard for me to imagine that something like replacement will happen in Amazon, company win its good reputation in china by products with high quality.

Try restarting the Kindle, by either

-- going through the menu (Menu button -> Settings -> Menu button - Restart)
-- holding the slider switch for 15 - 40+ seconds until the Kindle reboots.

And one more problem : I"ve updated the system to 3.1, but even reseted to factory defaults , the system never come back to the early version in the brand-new kindle3. Why?
