New Hardboiled Mystery/Thriller Novel Just Released
My latest mystery novel LEAST WANTED has just been published. It's the sequel to IDENTITY CRISIS, which was the #1 hardboiled mystery on Amazon for several weeks last summer.

Description: Maryland lawyer Stephanie Ann "Sam" McRae has two tough cases that quickly turn worse, when both clients—a poor black girl and a white, middle-class man—are accused of murder. Sam's inquiries into the cases lead her to Washington, DC's suburban ghettos where she discovers an odd link between them: the seamy world of girl gangs and computer pornography.

The stakes rise considerably as more people die at the hands of a maniacal killer who'll do anything to keep Sam from learning the truth. Sam races to clear her clients before she becomes the next victim.

Congrats to Debbi! Identity Crisis is listed as Number 35 on this week's New York Times Best Selling eBook Fiction. I believe it is the first "self-published" title to make the list.

To be "officially recognized", you have to be on the list at least one week in position's 1 to 25 ... but even to reach "Also Selling ..." on the list is a remarkable achievement. This week's list features Jodi Picault, Lisa Gardner, James Patterson, Stieg Larsson, JD Robb ... and that's just in the top 10.

Thanks! I think there's another self-published title -- NOT WHAT SHE SEEMS by Victorine E. Lieske (CreateSpace) at #26 -- but far as I can see, we're the only two.

It's quite an honor and an unexpected one. Amazing, but most gratifying.
