G'Day from Tasmania, Australia

Hello...I'm from the state of Tasmania in Australia. For anyone who doesn't Know Australia well, Tasmania is a small island state separated from the mainland by Bass Strait which is approximately 120 miles wide.
I am looking for a cover & light for a Sony PRS600 Touch Edition ereader. The reader was bought as a gift to me, by my daughter when she visited the USA last year. This model is not sold in Australia & I am having difficulty sourcing one. Can anyone help?

Have a look on the Borders Australia site as they sell the Sony (but I am not sure about specific models). I use a Mighty Bright light on my Kobo and they are very good - just clips to the top of the unit). Not the cheapest light but used by a lot of professional musicians as a music light so they are built tough!

Have you checked out the Sony Forum and the sticky threads at the top of the forum, yet? There is one with lots of great links, "Sony Reader Info, Start-Up & Reset Guide". If you scroll down to post 2 and 3, you will find links to other great information in the MobileRead wiki.

Have fun exploring all the forums and just ask if you have any questions.

Hi Grace, and welcome. The 600 has been superceded by the 650, which is smaller, so those cases won't fit. You should still be able to find cases, although secondhand might be your best bet. Perhaps have a look here at the marketplace, otherwise just around the internet (ebay). Direct from the brands might be an option - the companies I know of are Sony, CaseLogic and M-Edge.

Well..I send a great big thank you to all the people who answered my query regarding a cover for my sony 600. I did manage to get one from a site in the USA for a good price...the funny part being, postage cost nearly double the price of the cover, but I'm very happy with it.

Yes, dreams...I do have a very nice daughter.
No. desertblues, I haven't explored enough yet, but I certainly will look them over.
I apologise for being so tardy in answering all the people who responded, just going through a sad time. We had to have our beautiful Labrador, Jezebel, put to sleep last week. She had leukaemia & was very sick. We will miss her.
