Ordered a PRSASC95B, got a PRSACL35/LC

Interesting happened today. Its good. I think.

I ordered the plain black Sony Reader cover for the 950 from Vanns store on Amazon last week. Got my shipment today UPS and low and behold... they shipped me a lighted Sony cover (in blue) for the 350 instead.

Did I just get lucky? I mean I paid $33 for the former and got a $50 case for the latter but the thing is... I don't have a PRS-350.

But... just got an email stating the a $50 discount for the PRS-350 at Borders.

I'm thinkin... I may sell the 950 I just got and buy the discounted 350 @ Borders and keep the light. Plus I'll get money back, still have a reader to read novels on, and not feel so guilty with myself about having such an expensive reader that I thought would display PDFs better anyways.

Thoughts?

Thats really odd. I ordered the non-lighted black cover from Target.com two weeks ago for my 650 and they shipped me the cover for the 950. I sent it back and they sent me another 950 cover again in return. Now they tell me the 650 cover is out of stock.

I suspect the picking bin in the warehouse was stocked incorrectly by some underpaid worker that doesn't care about his job.

So I returned the PRS-950 at Bestbuy today. The rumor was true about them eliminating restocking fees. Way to go BB!

Went to Borders and bought the PRS-350/SC. I like it much better. Much cheaper, so as me not feeling like I'm holding a small fortune just to read books. Small and portable, and it will mate well with the lighted Sony cover Vanns mistakenly sent me.

Meant to be me thinks b/c my favorite other reader was the Astak PocketPro 5" for the same reason.... cheap, open, and small!

The PRS-950 just isn't worth it IMHO.
