Libra 2 Pre-built nickelmenu config

Hi,

A while back while setting up the 8bitdo micro, I installed nickelmenu, and I seem to recall it came with a pre-built main menu consisting of many options, including several to enable / disable bluetooth, and one which I think enabled bluetooth and wifi in one go. All I had to do then was switch on the 8bitdo, enter pairing mode, and bob's your uncle. Other options in the menu were Import books, Reading stats, Start KOReader and various others.

I have installed nickelmenu again (thanks to the latest kobo update for factory resetting my unit) but have been unable to locate the relevant settings to create this menu structure.

Not a huge amount to go on I know, but would anyone know where I can source this menu config from?

The official NickelMenu install has no menu. You have make one and/or get the settings from MR.

To get the code you want, read the following two threads. Read both to get whichever has the code you want.

If it's any help, I have an all singing, all dancing version of the NickelMenu configuration file - i.e., one with everything enabled. You can then go through it and disable anything you don't want (just add # at the beginning of the line, IIRC). If that's any use, I'd be happy to let you have a copy. (I tried to attach it to this reply, but got an "invalid File" error message, so we'd have to find another way to get it to you.)

If you get an invalid file message, try renaming it to filename.txt or zip the file and then attach the .zip file.

IIRC, the "official" NickelMenu build doesn't have the bluetooth resources to control the 8BitDo. The second link from JSWolf includes a link to download that new version.

(I'm also hoping that when Kobo releases their official page turner in early December, the associated firmware also works with the 8BitDo and doesn't require NickelMenu to make it work.)
