Better KOReader integration, show read percentage at thumbnail

I love Onyx Boox devices and KOReader.

I just have one small wish.
I switched the KOReader as default reader for ePubs.
So all ePubs are opened automatically by KOReader.

However they with the label "New" in the Onyx Boox library display.
And no read percentage is shown as it would be if I would read it with Neo Reader.

I guess KOReader would need to be able to push in some Onyx Boox statistics somewhere. Or mimic Neo Reader.

Based on this reddit thread: Dealing with library progress and KOReader a possible workaround would be to use something called "Nova Launcher".

But, has anyone figured an integration between Onyx Boox Library and KOReader?

Here are my conclusions.

I did not install Nova Launcher that is for something else and I do not think it can be customized in way to show books.

The closest "workaround" that one can do is to start KOReader form the apps.
Then open the Menu (三) and then History.
The only issue that you can not create folders or categories in that History, but you will get your latest read books.

Reading percentage can be tough to get correct.
Do you just do it on reading position?
If you read a book then go back to look at the cover does that make 0%?
Do you divide a book into some number of chunks and see that they've all been viewed?
Does skipping forewords, acknowledgements or coming attraction preview prevent you from "having read" the book?

I think manually registering "Read" or "DNF" is the most reliable way.

Apart from Neo Reader, AlReaderX is the only reading program that allows you to do that from the Onyx Library. I imagine that this is due to the special collaboration between the author of this program and Onyx Boox.

I am not looking that often at the "Library" displays.
I am content in having that one show the "not correct values".

My pain was:

1. I was reading multiple books in the same time periods.
1. Kept forgetting the latest pool of books
1. But by looking at KOReader history I can see them.

So this was enough for me, did not explored further goals or ambitions.

Well that means there is a way. One could implement a KOReader plugin...
