A Library of FREE Ebooks, Unbeknownst to Me Until Just Now.

It is the "Online Library of Liberty," a collection of scholarly works about individual liberty and free markets. The site states that they have 1,778 ebooks. But they have more than ebooks--stuff like essays and things. I haven't opened any of the books, yet, to see what kind of quality they are. But the site is funded (through grants, mainly, I suppose) by some prominent organizations, and to me that says a lot about the project--it's high-class. oll.libertyfund.org. (I'm sorry, but you'll need to type that URL in the address line--for the life of me, I can't make a functional URL for it, using this smartphone. Aaarrgghh!). Some of those have been quite good and others to my eyes were dreck your mileage may vary. I will also warn you that many of them come from either a libertarian or conservative viewpoint. That doesn't mean they aren't good just different to some people. Quote:

I was disappointed that some of their works are only available as either in PDF or HTML. I suppose that if I really wanted to, I could download the HTML and import it into Calibre or Sigil and see how it looks.

Yeah, the whole library seems to be, as you said, libertarian or conservative. I should have mentioned that. I surmised that was the case, without even going "inside" it, from key terms on the homepage and, believe it or not, the very _look_ of the homepage.
