Images in a a docx file

When adding a docx file to Calibre that has images (pictures) and then converting to epub format all images in the resulting epub file are missing. In all other respects the converted epub file is good.

I have the images in the same folder as the docx file. What am I doing wrong or missing? Thanks |

You need to embed the images in the docx file, for an example, see https://manual.calibre-ebook.com/con...word-documents

With your Word document open, click the Office button*, top-left of the window. Select Prepare > Edit Links to Files. Select and highlight the images you want to convert from the list. Select the option to Save picture in document. Click the Break Link button. Click Yes to confirm. I also found a solution by saving the docx file as an html file and then loading that into calibre. When converting to epub there was difference between the two methods as to how the images were displayed. Not sure yet which was best but it gives me something to "play" with. Again, thank you. |
