Problems with updates
I am very pleased using Calibre. But since a few months I get an error when using a new download.
I download the 64bit version 2.32.1 (and versions begore). The download and installations are oke, but when opening it displays errors which are not diplayed when using version 2.19.0. The errors mentioned are: calibre, version 2.32.1 FOUT: Opstartfout: Er is een fout opgetreden bij het starten van calibre. delen van calibre functioneren mogelijk niet. Klik "Toon details" voor meer informatie. This is saying that the database on the Kobo device itself is corrupted; the only real way to solve this is to recreate the database, which can either be done by doing a reset on the Kobo (wh9ch will force you to reapply any upgrades AND redo the setup) or logging out from your Kobo account on the device (which will force you to re do the setup).
The logout from the account can be done from Settings | Accounts and then selecting Sign out from the Kobo account section. I was TOTALLY wrong Last edited by PeterT; 07-23-2015 at 11:07 PM. |

No it's not. That isn't the KoboTouch driver code. I'm pretty sure that is referring to the database in the calibre library. I think the OP needs to run one of the maintenance tools.

Yep, that is the standard traceback for a corrupted library metadata.db (although I can't read the error message itself as it isn't in English).

Use the Library Maintenance->Restore database tool to rebuild the database, that should fix the problem.
