Aura I hate black devices - any snap in backs?

I'm really tired of black devices so I all my previous Kobos have been white, ivory or even lilac. I like the flush front of the Aura and see no need for higher resolution of the Aura HD.

But the Aura [no HD] only comes in black or black front with a pink back. I've done some searching and don't see any snap in backs of a different colour. Covers and cases yes but I don't want any of those.

Any thoughts? I could probably get out some sandpaper, scuff up the sides and back and paint it white but sheesh, I doubt I'd do a good job.

(added the [no HD] as the original HD was a mistake on my part.)

No snap-ins, but the pink is a great colour, for what it's worth. Not baby or barbie pink, it's a deep hot pink that's nearly a red.

If you don't like that, it can't be long before DecalGirl will come out with skins. Gelaskins lists "Kobo Aura Skins", but they don't say HD and don't advertise an HD version, so I suspect they're actually HD skins. Skinomi does appear to have real Aura 6" skins in a couple of different finishes, so check those out too.

I really do, however, recommend a rigid case for device protection.

The AURA only comes in black. The Aura HD comes in black, brown, and white.

They might have skins available for whichever Kobo you are looking for. I haven't found them necessary for my Kobo(s) so I haven't looked. But I do use them on other devices.

Been out for a while, I have a DecalGirl skin on my Aura HD.

I think the OP was talking (or trying to talk) about the Aura 6, since they mentioned the flush front and pink back.

Sure looks like a barbie pink to me in some of the Kobo site photos.

I'd forgotten the term skin so searching on brought up http://www.gelaskins.com/products/ko...c/most-popular Some of those look quite nice. Others are, of course, meh.

I haven't been using a rigid case since my WiFi so not worried about that.

I have had a white and silver Touch and a white and silver Glo, I would have love to have a white Aura (I hate pink and red) but I have a black one. I was very disappointed that they kept to black. Not sure there are skins for Europe (particularly for France).

I agree, on one of those patterns quickly checking them I can definitely make out the ridges that are on the back of the Aura HD. They are probably not aware that the Aura and Aura HD are 2 differently sized readers.
