Many Users - Security Options?
I will be using the portable version at work (network restrictions) - several of us work shift work and share our computer - I am setting up Calibre for my colleagues to use.
Some of my colleagues are very skilled with computers while others are not. Is there a way I can password protect or hide from other users the icons Add books, edit meta, and preferences. Tks Craig |

Preferences ==> Interface ==> Toolbar
You can edit the toolbar as well as the right-click context menu and the toolbar when a device is connected and the optional second toolbar, the menubar, in fact everything. ![]() YOu can in fact set it up so the only way to do anything is with the shortcut keys, by removing all icons from all toolbars. Even Preferences would be hidden.

You could just teach those users to only use the Browser (via the content server) to browse the Library. |
