Google event July 24th - new N7 finally?

Ordered 2 Chromecasts. As a cord cutter for over a year, this got me pretty exited. Will be purchasing the new Nexus 7 over a new KFHD as well (but will be keeping my current KFHD).

That looks like a very interesting device and, at $35, no reason not to buy it. Well, other than it's not available in Canada.

Funny thing about Chromecast - with the exception of the Pixel, it doesn't work with Chromebooks

I snagged one for an effective price of $11 ($35 - $24 Netflix offer). Since I already subscribe to Netflix, I'll be getting three months free ($24).

I don't have netflix but I've been meaning to get it. This finally made me pull the trigger.

I can't decide if I want to get a Chromecast or not. In looking at it I'm not sure it'll give me anything I don't already have through various other hardware. Hope they get more apps on it ASAP as right now it seems pretty limited. On the other hand the three months of free Netflix makes its effective cost really low.
