New Kobo Glo Freezing up
I picked up a Kobo Glo yesterday (finally upgrading my ancient Bebook reader).

In the hour I spent on it the device locked up about 10-15 times and needed to be reset using a paper clip each time. Just wondering if this is a common issue? It appears that after setup, the firmware was upgraded to 3.1.1.

Is locking up a constant occurrence on these?

I'll be taking it back for a replacement today - hopefully I've just got a dodgy one.

Kobo Glo is normally very stable; that absolutely shouldn't be happening.

I've only had mine since Monday, but it hasn't frozen up once so I definitely think it's a problem with the unit. Not normal.

Thanks everyone - I exchanged mine and haven't had a single issue since. There was a major issue with the first one, as it was literally locking up within 5 minutes every time.

Thanks for updating us on the situation. Like anything else, these things will happen from time to time. We always hear the negatives though right away. But rarely the positives. Human nature I guess to do things this way. Overall the Kobo Glo is a stellar device and gives a kick ass performance. Just remember its made by humans and as such its prone to human error from time to time.
