Restoring and Upgrading Problem

I searched for an answer for this all over these forums and the Web and can't find it.

I had been running CM7 for about six months and decided to go back to the regular Nook software on my Nook Color. So I did the clockwork recovery and got it back to 1.0.0.

Now, when I put 1.0.1 or 1.3 in the root directory and wait for it to upgrade, nothing happens. So, I tried rebooting the device. The image file disappears but I have no upgrade. I am still at 1.0.0.

Has anyone experienced this? If so, is there a fix?

Silly me. I just transferred the 1.3 image to my NC using the USB cord that came with it and the upgrade worked.

I had been using an all purpose USB cord I keep attached to my laptop for various devices. Lesson learned.
