300 not authorised for DRM content
I got my reader the other day, used from CE-X for £95 and its great! So far have over 100 books on it d'loaded free from project gutenberg. But then I noticed something. In the About poage it tells me its not authorised for DRM, and the same applies to the reader software. I click on the E-book Store but all I get is 4 sites to buy books from. I got no Adobe I D and so am unable to register the device. I have registered it with Sony of course and got the free books from there but thatd as far as I got. Now the thing is I believe its because its a used device and so all those bits of info are with the original owner, whoever that is! Also do I need to download ADE-will that help?

ADE is going to help, you just need to create an accoun in Adobe.com and the enter that ID (email and password) as sson as ADE comes up... and then you will the reader and computer authorized fro ADOBE DRM protected conten

Thanks, worked a treat This thread should now say 300 now authorised for DRM content
The Reader software still has issues tho-no e-store link and keeps saying Folder not found on start up

Right, you know the Reader Software that comes with the Sony readers? Well sometimes it loads up and I get a message saying The Folder has been moved/deleted. Also when I click on E-Book store there supposed to a sign in thing with your Adobe ID but I get nothing, just 4 ad sites for buying ebooks.

Hmmm will have to check that ( I am in the united kingdom)
But because you can't edit Metadata in Reader Software I use Calibre instead.

Yea its set to United Kingdom as its supposed to be, so where the E-book store supposed to be?? I'm confused, considering the reader itself is fabulous, and calibre is superb, the Reader software itself seems utter garbage!
