Here's where to get Frutiger Linotype font

I have quite a lot of fonts, but what I like to do now and then is find good fonts that are bundled inside free to download applications.

Frutiger Linotype is a good font, you can get it out of your Windows font folder after installing the Microsoft Reader application.

It's a humanist sans-serif with good contrast and doesn't look "cold and sterile" like the Helvetica variants.

I don't suppose yew would have the comic sans everyone hates so much? I have found it with bold and underline, but I can't seem to find the italic version to make it complete.

The italic version is not a legitimate font style for Comic Sans. You could probably create a version of it on your own, though.

Quote:
A synthesized font is an italic, bold or bold italic font created by Windows by artificially emboldening or slanting the regular weight of the specified font. This is more common than you might think. For example, you often see Comic Sans MS Italic used on Web sites even though no such font exists.

Quote:
The Comic Sans MS only comes in two weights, regular, and bold (Comic Sans MS, and Comic Sans MS Bold) that’s the reason why the style is not applied in Designer.

Thomas: The closest I can think of offhand in a free quality way that you can get at the moment is segoepr.ttf (looks quite a lot like an italic comic sans) Back in 2007 Microsoft accidentally leaked a PDF called "Print Ad for Microsoft Dynamics Business Management Solutions Brief Description". It contained the complete Segoe collection. The pdf is no longer available, but people mirrored the fonts installed, and you can still find them as a result.

Incidentally, the collection includes a semi-bold weight.

I checked and found a bunch of Segoe loaded in Windows 7, which I use for writing. I will try some of these fonts on the Pocket Pro. Thanks for the suggestion.
