Question Library transfer fail (only XP to Vista)

Hey party people!

An introduction: my name's Grant, I'm from New Mexico, and I'm totally digging this awesome software!

So... I can transfer my libraries from one XP computer to another just fine. However, when I try to transfer the library from an XP to a Vista box, it just doesn't work. I'm just copying my library folder onto new system and pointing to it as described in FAQ. Have tried testing the xml integrity as well, no luck.

When I transfer between two XP boxes, I have to restart Calibre and there everything is. No such luck on Vista

Can anyone kindly offer advice?

I have no trouble going between Vista and XP and back. What kind of error message do you get?

(Do you have the same version on both?)

aw yeah, nevermind

I should have mentioned- I was doing this with my MOM, over the phone, long distance. I swear, I tried to make sure she was doing the right things.

"Something says it's 'moving,' wait, what is a folder and why do I want to merge it?"

Sorry guys, I knew that would be a ridiculous scenario... I'll delete this post
