Yes.
It's a bit clunky, but it can be done if you buy a PDF app. If you just need to read (and not annotate) the 99 cent Goodreader App works great. You can hook up the iPad to your PC/Mac and drag and drop PDFs into Goodreaders File Sharing section in iTunes. You can also download PDFs from the web browser into Goodreader by letting them load and then typing a "g" in front of the URL. If you need to annotate, people here have had good things to say about iAnnotate, but I've not used it myself. I believe it is $6.99 currently, but will go up to $9.99 at some point. |

I'd assume so since there's a Goodreader app for the iPhone/touch (the iPad version is just an update of it).
Of course, results will be bad with large PDFs with graphs etc. on such a small screen. But should be ok for straight text which can be reflowed. |

As of the most recent update with goodreader, you can email PDFs to yourself and open the mail app, then open the pdf attachments with Goodreader.
You can also upload your PDFs to dropbox or another file server and download them into goodreader. |

I can attest to the quality of the iphone version of the goodreader app.
I'm reading a 278 page pdf on it at the moment and thoroughly enjoying it (in landscape mode having shrunk the page width to the iphone screen width) |

Someone should add ghttp support
Good reader can register ghttp uri, I did manage to edit the gui.js in Calibre2\resources\content_server to load uri's with ghttp instead of http so they could be loaded/saved onto ipad' goodreader app. But for some reason or another, the content that gets delivered to the ipad is not the same that gets delivered to a normal web browser. http://www.goodreader.net/gr-man-howto.html#ghttp
This should be a simple addition to Calibre2 and I'm sure a wonderful thing for people who use goodreader ![]() |
