Looking for King Raven series by Stephen R. Lawhead
Years ago I read the Pendragon Cycle by Stephen R. Lawhead. Great series and an excellent read, if you like books on the legend of King Arthur.
One of his latest series os called King Raven, and deals with Robin Hood. The books are Hood, Scarlet, and Tuck. I'd love to find these in digital format, but have only seen Kindle editions. Can anyone assist me in locating epub, reader or other editions (preferably the formats read by the EZReader). Thanks PS, If i put this in the wrong sections, oops on me. |

Yes, but I'm looking for non-kindle editions. A format I could read on the EZReader.
Yes, same here. Thanks. The only ones I find on the darknet are Spanish versions. Oh well, still a month to go before I can actually read them. Maybe they'll be released in more formats by the time my reader is shipped. |

Great series! I have it in Hard Cover. I am a big Lawhead fan. If you liked the pendragon series you'll like these as well. Also I recommend the Song of Albion series as well.

I've heard nothing but great things about it. I have so many ebooks waiting to read that I'll have to quit work and spend the rest of my life reading!

But - knowing my nature - I'll probably just use each lifetime to keep adding books to my waiting list. Now that's my idea of heaven/nirvana (insert spiritual equivalent here matching your religious paradigm). ![]() |

I have to say that Amazon is hurting eBooks with their exclusivity. It's going to come to bite them in the ass someday. I would never buy a reader from any company that strives to get exclusivity of content.

Is it Amazon or the publishers? When Amazon "Kindelizes" a book, do they require/demand the publisher/author ONLY sell at Amazon? Or is it the publisher just contracting with Amazon for ebook sales, and not bothering to explore and exploit other formats & sellers? Best sellers get launched in multiple formats. I think Amazon may just have the resources to start getting publishers to start converting their back catalogs.

AZW, is basically Mobi with a padlock. Is there a way to convert AZW yet?
If so, once stripped, will is still have the right format, or will is just be unformatted text? I'm trying to see my options here.... |

An AZW can be stripped the same way a Mobi file can and be given a .prc extension it will work like any other non DRM'd Mobi file. An AZW1/TPZ file can't be stripped and is not Mobi format. Not sure what format the Lawhead books are in.

Oy! And it'll cost me to find out. I highly doubt an email asking what format the books are in will go over well. I may ask about other formats in the future.

BTW - it's a beautiful Topaz book - the typeface is bold & clear - with lots of huge italicized sections. |

It sounds grand. Maybe there'll be an AZW1 stripper/converter soon.

Egad, I just did a google search and found a post here on MR from Dec08. It stated that AZW1 and TPZ files havent been cracked. I had assumed that the new AZW1 file was a very recent (couple months) file format, but here it is, 8 months later, and STILL they haven't been penetrated.
Did amazon put a titanium shell on these files to prevent them from being converted? I am all about purchasing ebooks, but if the ONLY copy of an ebook is in a format that only 1 reader can read, THAT is underhanded, conniving, and should be totally illegal. Trolling the darknet, I still have not found any OCR'd versions, except for ones in Spanish, but I'll keep looking. If anyone has a link to where I can purchase these books in NON-kindle format, please let me know. gw |
