505 upgrade with PRS-Plus v.9b FAILURE

I followed the installation steps of PRS-Plus v.9b.
Well, after pressing # 4 then # 6, the Reader is restarted and is frozen in the initial screen "Reader starting up ...".
No answer to anything. Nor can shut down or reset.
The display continues with "Reader starting up ..."

After being connected to the PC all night and part of the morning, it is impossible to be recognized by the installer of the firmware, but the PC can see the folders of the internal memory.
I can access the folders. I do not know if I could do something with them.
The screen remains in the home "Reader starting up ..." all the time.

What can I do?

I had the same problem. I had to reinstall sony's software update and then re-do the upgrade but it is all working now. Help messages near the end of the above thread should help you figure it out.
