Last update time and date not right.

Version 2.0 B4.

If I open Sunrise XP. And it autoupdates a series of files. The last update field does not seem to update consistently. If I specify Update Due, internally the values are stored correctly, because most of the sites don't need to be updated. If I close Sunrise XP and reopen it, the last updated field is right. The update just does not seem to update the console.

Version 2.0 BETA 9F still has the problem and it seems more problematic on the updates. It happens more often and it seems that it gets harder to tell if an update has succeeded or I need to update. More like 1 in 4 times it updates right.

Could you rephrase the problem? I can't really follow your description. It's not clear what you mean by "update the console". Please provide a step-by-step breakdown.

If the system updates there is a colum in the display called Last update.

You mentioned that you worked on the HANG at 99% when a update is being processed if the HTTL was blank.

I was replying that I still see the HANG at 99% done.

And I also see the Last Updated time not being updated if you cancel the update of a different file.

This seems to be more prevelent on large files.

This seems to occur more often on the build after the HANG was addressed. And seems to hang indefinitly 2/3 of the time, again at the 99% for the last or last few items, usually 2 or more.

The last updated date/time is stored only after the update dialog is dismissed, which does not happen if the application hangs. So the root of the problem is that the updates hang. I've already looked at this, but, apparently, couldn't find a solution. I'll have to look at it again in the next code review.

Last update date/time not right in 9h.

I am using the current version 9h.

I have found that the "last update" time in the console is better, but still something is not right.

I still see after doing an update, that date not get updated for "last update". But now if I close out console, the date and time will update to the "last update" correct date and time. This is better. And I can work with this istead of sometimes it takes 2-3 runs before I can tell if the "last update" is correct.

Also if you close using the "X" durring an update, sometimes the "last update" field gets updated with items that are completed, but not always.

Something I have found that I miss, that if you have a link to websites that are remote, some of these websites hang or take a really long time. In surrise, not sunrise xp, I used to be able to cancel following a particular link or being able to see the details of the update, so I can figure out that I should "filter" out that link. We lost that when you went to sunrise xp. This can also help us remove corrupt links or links within a site we don't wish to follow. But did not realize that till updates where in progress.
