Checking free memory?
Where can you see how much memory is free on the 600? I can't seem to find a meter, gauge or value anywhere on the unit itself nor Reader Library when it's running.
Thanks! |

Nevermind. I found it. Duh. In very light print on the bottom of the screen.

Don't worry - you're not alone in overlooking it. It's NOT obvious.

Yeah, you'd think they'd put in advanced settings on the device itself, or the about page. As far as I can tell there is no way on the device itself to see how much free space there is.

Even used the menu to shut it down and then restarted it - nothing. My firmware version is 1.0.01.08040, mayhaps you have older versions? |

No. you can't see memory on the reader itself. you can only see what's free when it's hooked up to your computer and you're running sony's library manager or calibre.

Oh good as I was looking all over the reader as well wondering why I was missing something! duh And I don't even need to check as I only have like 10 books on the device at once - any more than that and I get confused switching between the books I'm reading!

When you're in the Sony eBook Library software, the amount of used and free memory on the "device" you're currently viewing is shown on the status bar at the bottom of the window. It is very easy to overlook!
