If you haven't already bought the Lost Symbol and still want to BooksOnBoard are giving you money to buy it

Buy the EPUB version for $24.56 and get $28.30 rewards back.
The Lost Symbol + up to 4 other ebooks for $28 is a pretty good deal.

Keep in mind that you have to use real $$$ to make the purchase -- you can't use rewards bucks. Although as a ~15% reward-bucks–making scheme, it works.

That's a good deal.

However, if one wants 100% back, Fictionwise has it for $17.00 if you're a Member.

By buying the book with a credit card, you get the exact same amount ($17.00) credited to your account in what is called "Micropay" money. This is money you can use to buy almost ALL multiformat books.

I' ve got a big problem with BooksOnBoard, my browsers do not succed in connecting to it. Is the site up ? Does it need anything special ?

What that does is provide statistical data that people buy ebooks for almost $25,00. No way would I do that!!

I am glad everyone thought this was a great deal

I personally think Dan Brown is a pretty ordinary author that everyone get overly worked up about when its just fiction.
I wasn't considering buying it either, even if I was able to

I already bought the book and thought it was a decent read. It wasn't high literature, but then, I didn't expect that.

The idea of seemingly paying readers to buy a book is a singular notion. However, having e-read *The Lost Symbol* on the day of its release (I'm a fiction editor, so chalk it up to 'research'), negative pricing is fully justified in this case. Brown -- who I always considered a decent jobbing author -- didn't hack it this time. Neil

I don't mind his books, they're not great but I can enjoy reading some of them (not read this one). Would never pay $25 for one though, I wouldn't pay that for any book (outside tech ref manuals). $10 and under for a good book from authors I enjoy, $5 for authors I've had recommended and anything around $2 I'll happily take a risk on unknown authors and snap up books by authors I like :P

Just a shame the publishers don't agree with that pricing

But think of it this way, it's just like putting aside the money to get other books and then getting The Lost Symbol for free.
