Last I read they had them in their warehouse and were trying to work out pricing to retailers.

Because as I said they don't have pricing worked out, or that's what Robert said. Can't put something up for sale until you know what it's going to sell for. They were trying to work out a SRP that would be consumer friendly but still allow them to sell through retailers like Fry's.

I've been thinking about holding off on getting a Pocket Pro, and instead getting the Mentor Lite 2 because of its 6" screen.

Any idea of an advantage the Pocket Pro would have over the Mentor Lite 2?

Text-To-Speech. Did the original Mentor Lite allow playing of MP3's whilst reading? IIRC Robert posted somewhere about most ereaders don't allow the playing of MP3's while reading, which the re-badged Hanlins do.

Hasn't stopped Onyx International!

I'd drool over it until a price was announced.

I imagine that Amazon's lowering the price of the Kindle 2 to $259 will put pressure on Astak to reduce its anticipated price of the Mentor Lite 2.

As I recall, Robert said once that they were looking at a pricetag of $249-259 for it.
