Is there a way to check which epubs maintain cover aspect ratio?

I have a lot of books which I converted to epub without preserving cover aspect ratio.
Is there a way to check the covers of my epubs? I'd like to know which epubs do and which do not maintain cover aspect ratio with scalable covers. I'd hate to do this by hand because I have so many books.

I think at present, the best you can do is use the Quality Check plugin and check for Calibre SVG covers. That's where you'll find the aspect ratio gone wrong if it is. You will have to check the resulting ePub by viewing with ADE. Then you'll know which ones need to be fixed. At least it will cut down on what you will have to check.

The Quality check PI only has checks based upon size (and no cover). aspects

If your preferences are NOW set to maintain Aspect, I think the built in 'Polish' will update using the setting. Use it with the 'Update cover' ticked

But you do first have to know which book need updating. It would be silly to update all eBooks just because some have covers that are off aspect.

This is one of those cases where you may have to use the Big Hammer because the little one does not exist.

Thanks for your input.
I checked most of my recently added books, which didn't all need modifying. The rest will be done in bulk, since most of their covers don't have aspect ratio.

It would be silly to refuse to do something that only costs a night spent sleeping while the computer churns, simply because the idea of doing overkill is apparently morally offensive to you.

As theducks said, this is the only option there is... so that's the one we will use.

If you build a routine for Quality Check to scan for the aspect ratio in ebook covers, we will use it.

I just select all my books in Calibre and use the "resize cover" plug-in to make sure they are all the same size. On the Paperwhite that's around 550 wide by 750 length. I don't know if it's necessary to reconvert them to make sure the size stays but if the book I loaded is in epub and I have to convert it to kindle format anyway the point is moot.

I was an Electronics Tech in the Navy.
