Series sorting?

I can't find any reference to this, so hopefully it's not a stupid question: I have a series of 10 books, and the series order is set up in calibre. It is a mixture of novels and novellas, and I have them numbered in calibre thusly:

Novella 1: 0.2
Novella 2: 0.5
Book 1: 1.0
Book 2: 2.0
Book 3: 3.0
Book 4: 4.0
Novella 3: 4.5
Book 5: 5.0
Book 6: 6.0
Book 7: 7.0

9 of the 10 are epubs, and Novella 1 is a PDF. When I sort by series in KOReader, it puts the PDF last, even though it's the first number in the series. I tried numbering it as 0.0, and I also added it to a collection, but the sorting is the same in both the file browser and the collection. Is there a way to have KOReader ignore the filetype when sorting?

"Sort by series" uses books metadata.
Have you edited custom metadata?

I've edited the metadata in calibre to add the series and number, if that's what you mean.

You can view/edit metadata fields used by KOReader to sort books, in the "Book information" window.

Hmm, it looks like either KOReader can't read the metadata from calibre, or calibre isn't saving the metadata. It's like this on both my kindle and using KOReader on my laptop:

Long-press on any metadata field to edit it.
The new value will be visible (used) in KOReader only.
