Question Boox Go 7 (2025) and Privacy Without Rooting
Howdy. I'm very tempted to pick up the new Boox Go 7 (2025 monochrome), now that Barnes & Noble is going even more backwards with its Nook line. However, I'm also a bit of a privacy enthusiast.

What would be the best way to maintain privacy on a Boox e-reader without rooting the device? Is it possible to get OS updates without having the device go online? I.e., download the OS update from a website on my desktop computer, and upload it to the Boox e-reader with a USB flash drive or something?

Sure. You can get boox update (.upx files) by link. After that copy it directly to your device and update

Michael baseline did cover privacy tweaks on boox tablet in unredscted pdf magazine.
Sorry can't remember which issue.
