Can't access content server locally or remotely?

As title says, can't access my calibre content server through 127.0.0.1:8080 on the same pc calibre is installed in or on any other devices through my IP. I just get:

This page isn’t working

127.0.0.1 sent an invalid response.

ERR_INVALID_HTTP_RESPONSE

Not sure how to fix it, any advice is welcome

Did a PING. 127 seems to be blocked on my PC (w10).
Ping finds 10.0.0.21

What OS? What A/V (it may be set too aggressive for your needs)

Thank you for the reply. 10.0.0.21 doesn't do anything either.

I'm on Windows 11. What does A/V mean? Sorry i'm very new to all of this.

10.0.0.21 IS MY (LAN IP) SERVER (behind a firewall). Yours will most likely be different.
Click the Globe with 3 orbs icon (BTW the orbs are green when the server is running). That will tell you your CURRENT IP and port (it can change over time unless you take additional steps)
Anti Virus (suite). Windows Defender is fine. Don't fall for all the F.U.D. the ads use.

Oh I see sorry.

The three orbs are green, and I've tried connecting via the ip and port shown when i click on those but that doesnt work either.

Yes its just windows defender. Ive tried turning it off and accessing the ip as suggested in the calibre official guide but this does nothing either.

Have you tried turning off the firewall?

Is your server WIRED or wireless?
Is the test device on the same WiFi band as the server (if server is wireless)
Is you W11 network set to PRIVATE

Is your router set to block wireless TO wired?

Are you sure it's running on port 8080? I suggest rebooting in safe mode with networking then trying it, that eliminates a whole host of possible things that could be interfering.

That seems to have worked for other people as well. Just hit the patient in the head with an axe and see if they recover.
