Problems copying files in bulk to device

Hi. I'm setting up a new Kobo device and want to copy the bulk of my library - 6k books - to it. I am using KOreader to connect wirelessly to calibre, at which point I select the books I want to copy, and hit Send to device.

I have found that there were a number of issues with this process, some of which where PEBKAC but possibly not all. I'm not at the machine where I do this right now, so unhelpfully I can't offer examples of the errors I was getting. The gist though was that the copy would work for a number of files, and then fail. I tried to batch the file set up into smaller chunks, but even this proved problematic. Any failure would cause the entire batch copy to fail.

I guess my question for now would be, is there a way to perform a bulk Send to device operation, where any failures were treated as warnings rather than errors, and the load therefore allowed to proceed to the next book.

I'm aware that I should attach examples of the error but I got so cheesed off that I copied the library using other means instead. I just feel that this operation should have been well with calibre's immednse capability.

Calibre's wireless device can send many files. A few years ago I sent over 2,000 at once to calibre companion (app no longer supported or available).

The problem could be in koreader; calibre has no control over what it does. Or your network might have hiccupped. Or your device went to sleep. Or you ran out of memory. Or space aliens intervened. Without any error messages it is impossible to get past pure speculation.
