Amazon Has Deleted Your Registered Apps from Devices
Because of a video I recently posted (2nd video), I've found out that my registered Kindle apps are no longer showing up on Amazon under Devices. Why is Amazon doing this?

Could you explain more clearly the change you are seeing?

He means he has devices that had registered copies of the Kindle app on them that are no longer showing up in the Devices section of his Amazon account.
I have no idea why, but it has absolutely bupkis to do with the video he linked to. Not mention the click-baity title of this thread that makes it sound as if Amazon is reaching out and deleting apps from physical devices. |

That's odd. When I go to that web page on my account there is a separate section titled "Amazon apps installed on devices" showing all of the registered apps.

I see the same thing as jhowell. The "Amazon Devices" section is exactly that: Registered Amazon Devices only. The "Amazon Apps installed on devices" section (immediately below "Amazon Devices") is how you find what Amazon Apps are installed on which non-Amazon devices. You chopped the relevant section off in your screencap. Last edited by DiapDealer; 10-23-2024 at 10:33 AM. |

Yea. Amazon apps has always been below the Amazon devices section.
I think it's always been like that? I can't remember seeing my registered apps on any other section of that page. |

It was different a long, long time ago. Back when the Kindle App was the only Amazon app that COULD be registered on a non-Amazon device,
