CC - Changing default storage folder

Greetings fellow readers!

I just got my shiny new Tolino Vision 6 and installed CC from the Amazon App store.

The Tolino Launcher / Reader / whatever does not recognize the books I sync over with CC as it stores it in /storage/emulated/0/CalibreCompanion

The simple solution would be to just change the default storage folder to .../Books/
but the app does not let me do that. It tells me that it will open the calibre whatever thingy to choose the folder and does... nothing. It tells me "no folder was selected".

Is there any way to fix this or to access the settings differently?

It's no clear from your question whether you're trying to select the book folder from within your reader or CC.

Make sure you give storage permissions to Calibre Companion and also make sure to click, or rather, tap the Books folder.
