Hello everybody,

I joined a google group for calibre as one of my acquaintances to create for our establishment. We decided to open it for everyone.

Long time since I used Google Groups, but I have vague memory it had By Invitation Only option that was settable by the Group owner.

I miss DejaNews. It was a hassle-free, no-login-nagging newsgroups search. Nowadays I prefer to search Reddit instead of google groups. Lively was awesome, as well.

My old neighborhood association (not a HOA) still uses that mode, so yes it is still in use for over 10 years
