Calibre 6.29

I probably did something wrong, but when I tried to upgrade to Calibre 6.29 the whole app disappeared and I could not restart it. I removed the app altogether and downloaded 6.28 from the Calibre website. I don't know if that newly downloaded version had the plug-ins I had before and I couldn't easily look for them in Calibre because I had forgotten where they were. So I installed the plug-ins again and now it seems fine. I guess somehow the new installation of Calibre 6.28 did retain the plug-ins, because when I got to the end of the process where you put in your Kindle serial no., it was already there. The library was still there, fortunately, because it is stored separately from the Calibre program itself.

Curious to know if anyone else has had this problem.

Check your task manager. The window may be off screen.
(do mention OS as well as the version of Calibre Each has its own interactions)

Try upgrading to calibre 7 and see how you get on.
