Libra 2 - problem searching after latest update

Since an update installed a few days ago - "4.37.21586 (42535ad976, 7/6/23)" - I've noticed a strange glitch on my Libra 2, which I'm wondering if anyone else is also experiencing.

Before, when I hit "Search" while within a particular book, it would automatically remember that, when I have a book open, I want to search "Current read", not "My Books". And then (obviously), when I was on the home screen it would default to "My Books". Which is as it should be.

But now, every time I hit search - even if I'm reading a book - it defaults to "My Books", which is incredibly annoying if, like me, you use the search function quite a lot. Not least because drop-down menus on e-readers are not the speediest technology!

So, I'd be very interested to know a) whether anyone else is experiencing this after the recent update, and b) if anyone knows of a fix or workaround, while (I hope) they get around to fixing it in the next update.

I do recall somebody else mentioning this in a recent thread. IIRC the only fix is to roll back to 4.35.

Pardon my ignorance, but why not 4.36?

4.36 is the launch firmware for the Elipsa 2E and does not exist for other models.

I've noticed the same behaviour on my Clara 2E under 4.37.21586.

I believe this behaviour was originally noted in this post.
