Is it possible to customize Similar Books menu?
Is it possible to customize Similar Books menu? I have many books where the author name is a household name, where I've put the actual author in parentheses, or if the author is the editor, I have added (ed.) to the author. Now, I'd like to either add a seach or customize the existing search for Author name so that it would ignore the parentheses - I know I could use other methods, but the context menu is quite handy. Can this be done?

You can change Preferences > Searching > Similar Books to use a different column or grouped search.

Theoretically you could make a composite column that returns the author name without the parenthesis section and set it to search that. I'm not sure how this would work in practice.
