Downgrading 5.12.2.2 into 5.6.0
I was successful in jailbreaking my Kindle but couldn't downgrade my firmware. I saw the Koreader text editor method and I couldn't find the text editor either. Can someone help me downgrade my firmware?

IMO, the easiest and safest downgrade route is to use the serial method. You'll need to extract the target firmware with KindleTool, tear your kindle down and you'll also have to buy a serial to usb adapter. Depending on how you set it up you don't need a soldering iron to get the adapter connected to the board, you could use jumper cables and sticky tape, you won't spend more than $ 10 in materials. |

You're best off using this KUAL extension to downgrade. Select your device, let it reboot, then copy the update bin over, DO NOT UNPLUG and wait a few minutes then do a force reboot (hold down the power button for ~15s) and then it should apply the update. I also would advise to factory reset your Kindle afterwards to make sure there's no weirdness going on.
