How to enabling OTG on Boox Note+?

Want to access external drives. I`ve used diferent otg dongles and try different apps that pretend to enable otg drive and settings, but after all it may be a hardware issue (which i don't want to believe). A particular detail is that the reader refuse to charge trough otg dongle. Any help or advice is welcome.

Have you tried the USB OTG Checker?

I don't know what a Note+ is. Is it modern? Is it Type C? Is it USB 3?
On my Poke3 there are mechanisms for configuring data direction and power direction separately.
If your device has a micro USB connector getting it to charge and host is mostly a hack.

I think he means this device - Android 6, USB C.
I have Boox Nova 2 (Android 9, USB C) and with it USB C OTG only wants FAT32

Oh. Well, it's still not apparent if it's USB 2 or USB 3.
Type C is not a guarantee of anything except the plug fits.

On my Poke3 the choice for external flash drive is in /vendor/etc/fstab.qcom

/devices/soc/c084000.sdhci/mmc_host* /storage/sdcard1 vfat nosuid,nodev wait,voldmanaged=sdcard1:auto,encryptable=footer

You could make that exfat if you like, or even ext2, ext3, ext4.

My autoupdate in my custom recovery can do vfat and exfat automatically.

Poke 3 already has Android 10 - but the device is Android 6, while in Android 9 USB-OTG is still so limited; so it wants to reformat exfat or also ext2

Ya want me to go blind looking at that stuff???

That's the unspeakable "high contrast text" mode.
You can disable that on a per-app basis. Long click on the app.
There may be a way to turn it off besides my way of disabling all the Onyx stuff.

Plug in an OTG adapter. Does the device try to put power on the Vbus?
