Metadata Series Numbering
The default series numbering system in a book's metadata does not allow for hyphens. I have some books in a series that is numbered xxx-xxx-xxx. How do I edit the series number field so that it allows hyphens?
Thanks for your help, Abe |

You don't.
Series_Index is Numeric, not text. It allows 1 decimal point. If you reeeeely need 3 sections, consider using the first part as thew series nameseries 1982 [6.23] |

Modifying Series # field
Thanks for your prompt response. The forum led me to some older posts about the same issue. This link was the most helpful, https://www.mobileread.com/forums/sh...d.php?t=293236
My challenge is that I don't know anything about creating a field that will allow a complete set of alphameric characters. I have also looked at Tweaking in Preferences and creating a template. Again, I have no idea how to use either of these features correctly. Again, thank you, Abe |
