Kobo Touch N905B setup
Hi everyone,

I found my Kobo Touch at the back of a drawer and thought i would see if it still works which it did, i had'nt used it for about 10 years so thought i would factory reset it and start from scratch and now wish i had just left it as it was.

I have tried to set it up using the computer but its not detected so i can't get it running properly.

I have removed the SD card and can see it in my PC using an adaptor.

Its on firmware 1.9.12 but im not sure how to update it properly. i have tried the latest firmware but can't seem to get it to install and the older firmware links seem to be down.

Does anyone have any ideas?

Older FW at bottom of page after click button for Kobo3 seem to work. But the most recent should work.

You can't update the firmware easily without either working WiFi or working USB.

I had a look at those downloads but they didnt seem to download for me but have tried another browser and they work fine.

Do you have a rough guide on how to get the firmware updated with no wifi or USB. have had a search but all seems to point at connecting the system to the PC.

You need either WiFi or USB. There's no other way to do it.

Just a quick update.

Thought I would try another cable that I had and the device was seen via the USB port so i have got it updated and connected to WiFi.

Did try a couple of cables before but guess its worth trying them all.
