TOC for Wired (and ePub to Kindle)

When using command-line "ebook-convert" to generate Wired Magazine ePub version, the TOC lines seems scrambled together, is there a way to improve it? Thanks

I am using Kindle to read such fetched/emailed document, as I understand later Amazon will cease mobi-support on Kindle.
