PW2 PW2 FW 5.12.2.2 breaks JB

Hey all, today my PW2 updated from 5.12.2.1.1 to 5.12.2.2 and I lost my jb

Just a heads up to keep your devices offline. Hopefully NiLuJe or any other amazing devs can come up with a fix but I also know how old this device is so it might not be worth the time. I sure will miss my screensavers and the hacky python scripts I wrote.

Did you try to reinstall the JB hotfix?

The current hotfix packages from the snapshots might not be recent enough to actually pass on 5.12.2.2 (I, err, don't remember when it was released vs. when the snapshots were uploaded ;o)).

I might have time to push updated snapshots tomorrow, though

Just checked the snapshots thread and updated my PW. You're a legend, thank you!

Screensavers, kterm, and koreader are working again, although I noticed a weird issue. When I install MR packages, the package installs but the screen goes blank. I'm able to lock/unlock the device and plug it into USB normally, but the only way to get the display back is to hold the power button until it power cycles.

When does it actually go blank in the MRPI process?

What does the MRPI log say? (extensions/mrinstaller/log/mrinstaller.log).

My Kindle KT2 2014 upgraded to 5.12.2.2 while I left it charging a month ago. (not sure if it turned off airplane mode itself)

I'm trying to restore KUAL on it. The jailbreak hotfix package installs fine via "Update your Kindle", however the KUAL Booklet would be rejected with "An invalid update file has been loaded on your device" once unplugged.

Installing it via ";log mrpi" doesn't help. The screen turns blank after some "destroying package" and "Done, restarting UI", which should be what the OP is experiencing. Contents of "mrinstaller.log" follows:

You appear to be using outdated packages

The snapshot thread was updated a few days ago, it should now pass the version check on this specific FW version

Thank you for your efforts! Now KUAL and KOReader starts fine on my Kindle.

";log mrpi" still leads to a blank screen after completion, however that's not a big problem.

Sorry for crashing this thread, but does the updated fix mean that I can jailbreak a 5.12.2.2 PW2 (with the current Kindlebreak) or does this only apply to devices that were already jailbreaked?
I just bought a used PW2 and noticed that it's running this version.
