Error sending via hotmail

I usually use hotmail to avoid gmail errors, but this time it is failing me. Here I leave the error message:

You'd be best (IMHO) switching to Outlook and forgetting Hotmail.

Aren't hotmail/live/outlook.com one and the same - IIRC MS announced they would be retiring the hotmail and live domains 4-5 years ago.
