Kindle Oasis (8th Gen) swipe to lock will not go away.

Hello I recently bought an 8th Gen kindle oasis, promptly JB it and installed mrpi, kual, screen savers etc. Everything installed without a hitch. After connecting it to wifi to sign into my amazon account, I started getting special offers. I then paid to have them removed, screen saver went back to working correctly however I still have swipe to unlock displayed and have to swipe to unlock the screen. I have a voyage that I have done the identical setup to and it works as expected. both devices are on the same firmware version voyage works perfectly open cover start reading, Oasis has the swipe to unlock shown. Several restarts have not changed anything and amazon confirmed today that this exact device has had SO removed. Any ideas on what I should try to do next? I have been hesitant to do a factory restore as I'm pretty sure that will remove the JB. Thank you for your help in advance.
