Libra 2 not showing chapters correctly on manga
Let me preface by saying I sideload my manga, issue happens on nickel.
when you tap on the middle of the screen and the menu shows up, at the bottom it tells you which chapter you're on. For some reason, my Libra 2 always shows that I'm on the first chapter of the book even when I'm not, unless I'm on the first page of the chapter. So, let's say page 120 is where chapter 5 starts, when I'm on page 120 it will show chapter 5, but as soon as I turn the page to 121, it will show that I'm on chapter 1. Is there a way to fix this? it happens on all my books, and it's a little annoying when I want to check which chapter I'm currently on. |

just tested it with a store bought manga and it behaves properly with that one, so it's just sideloaded books.
I prepare my manga with KCC, chapters packaged into volumes and then sent via calibre it does see the table of contents properly, it just doesn't understand what chapter I'm on unless it's the first page of the chapter |

Hello,
Are your side-loaded books .kepub or .epub ? I ask because I’m side-loading all my manga after building a new epub file (to correct mistakes made by publishers, to add the correct metadata like series name or ToC) and sending them as .kepub, I never had any problem like yours with my Elipsa. I also just tried side-loading a couple of official manga files on a Libra 2. I didn’t encounter the exact same problem as you did, but whether I did the side loading directly or using ADE (for books protected by DRM), the ToC is not displayed if it’s an epub file ![]() After replacing the .epub extension by a .kepub.epub one (for books without DRM), the ToC was displayed as intended weather on its own page (before, it was just the title of the book) or while reading the books, whether I’m on the first page of a chapter or another one. If your manga are epub, I would try changing the file extension from .epub to .kepub.epub because it could solve your problem. |

A missing TOC or chapter info is nothing to do with Libra 2 or using epub, or sideloading. It's an error in the epub.

I've encountered a strange thing, I had 2 books which both had the issue, after connecting my libra 2 to pc with calibre open and ejecting, one of the books got fixed while the other one still displays chapters wrong. I checked both books and the file structure is the exact same, being volume->chapter 1->01.jpg (volume opening into chapter folders, inside chapter folders all files are named as 01.jpg, 02.jpg etc.) |

Neither Sigil nor epubcheck found any in one of the book I spoke about: as far as they can tell, it's a perfectly fine epub 3.0 file, yet, no ToC if I side loaded it as an epub and ToC if I just changed the extension (pinky promise: I just renamed the file, no Kepubify involved during the test in question).
Maybe a byproduct of the old version of the RMSDK used by Kobo: I opened the same file with Thorium on my computer and the ToC is here, as intended. Quote:
![]() I'm don't know what could cause that problem and KCC doesn't work that great on my Mac, but according to the website, it's supposed to create valid EPUB. Maybe checking the problematic file with epubcheck could spot an error or a warning. |

An epub 3.0 only optionally has an epub 2.0 TOC.
