cannot access files on Boox Nova Pro from the laptop

As the title says, I cannot access some of the books from the internal storage of my Boox Nova Pro. More precisely, I have access to some, but not all the books from one of my folders. I guess it's a permission problem. I can read the "missing" docs within the Nova, they are visible inside the ereader, but not from the laptop.

A few weeks ago I moved the books from the Wifi folder to the default one (Downloads) via the laptop. Then the problems started - I couldn't read the books moved, the OS allerted me that the book is missing from the library and asked me for a rescan (I don't want to do that because I have the books ordered in the library and a rescan means that I have to add again every book in the folder). Probably the Android OS protected the books from Downloads when I copied the new ones in the same folder, and this protection prevents me from access them from an external device.

Any suggestion?

Install xiaomj file manager, open it and click on 3 lines, now click on Ftp
