Libra Device stopped responding to touch while reading

It happened while reading a book. Just like that, out of the blue. I have done nothing out of the ordinary to the device, aside for a few side-loaded fonts, the firmware is the latest version.
The device stopped responding to touch altogether. Even the power button was not responding and sending it to sleep. Had to long-press the power button for it to power-cycle. Then everything returned back to normal.

Does that happen often? The device is practically brand new, haven't been modded in any way, never been dropped.

Has not happened to my Libra, but has happened to my Oasis a couple of times. It's pretty rare, though.

I can confirm this happening on my H2O2. As @Sirtel said, though, it's rare.

Never happened on my Libra. But it's capacitive, not IR.
