Différence liseuse (version entre la 3.19 et la 3.48)

Bonsoir à toutes et tous ;

Last edited by calijammi; 01-04-2021 at 03:24 PM. Reason: plein de faute mise par le site !!!!!! et pas par moi!!!!

If you wanted to see the differences between 3.19 and 3.48 why not download both source code archives and diff them? Or you could check the commits to master between each version though that is rather painful.

You do realize that much of the MobileRead site is intended for use in English? Even if you are writing in English, Mobileread is not happy with quite a few English language variants.

Do you find the same issues when you post in the Forum Français in the Non-English Discussions forums?

The Google translated version in English.

Reading light difference (version between 3.19 and 3.48)
Good evening everyone ;

I'm looking on the GitHub site for the list of DETAILS varying in each version between 3.19 and 3.48 (the Caliber site list does not go back so far in time)

I hope to find the evolutions of the Caliber reader in each version.

I don't know how to contact Kovid for these details
On which no one answers

Thank you.

PS. unbearable the site does not write in French, and changes all my text !! .. why does the text appear with errors constantly when they are not in my text before sending (words reversed, and deleted and letters added? ? !!!) I had to re-edit 5/6 times it's still gibberish where is the problem? (for example "variant" instead of the correct word as I wrote it without the "e" ?

Bonjour et merci déjà à @DNSB et @JSWolf pour votre intérêt.

Pour information annexe j'avais d'abord précisé ici :
https://www.mobileread.com/forums/sh...d.php?t=336141
que la liste du site Calibre ne convenait pas, mais personne ne me répond.

Au départ je fais des questions simples, maintenant si je m'adresse à plus connaisseurs techniciens et je dirais : "Je recherche le flux rss des changelog des 44 versions existant entre la 3.19 et la 3.48"
Ça ressemble à cela :
https://calibre-ebook.com/fr/changelog.rss

@DNSB, ma question correspond bien à mon besoin :

A thousand apologies to @DNSB and @JSWolf

Since I also speak English (badly for 60 years); I hadn't even noticed that @DNSB had answered me in English and I kept answering you in French!

No problem. But you did use one word in French incorrectly. liseuse means reading light.

No problem but I hate to think what Google Translate is doing to our conversation. Your English is likely far better than my memories of high school French.

For me also Jon, the reading light is the discreet adjustable lamp !

But it was the translations of Calibre that brought this ill-chosen word into my vocabulary.
How can I say "computerized reader" or "digital book display program"; I'm quite sure there is a word but I forgot it!

Yours sincerely, Jean-Mi

The word I use is Reader. I Do not use ereader because eReader is an eBook format and not a device.

And everyone else uses "ereader" as a "reader" is a person reading some text somewhere.

Then lets use reading device as it's not in use by something else first and does fit.

Well, in the meantime, if I could find, at the very least, the description of the capabilities of the reader that is included in version 3.48 of Calibre it would suit me...

I'm going to go back to searching GitHub

Yours sincerely;

Would it be easier to download the portable version of calibre 3.48 and simply run the viewer and step through it's menus to see what it's capabilities are?

David: Did you ever say you were a remarkably smart boy ?!

Well, you were right: I did it right away.

I ran into the native Caliber problem on my server (Problem that Kovid had fixed for my V.3.19): V.3.48 is not displayed in a normal window; it appears partially and too large, definitely stuck to the left of my first screen (there are 4 of them) and cannot be moved with the mouse.

[IMG][/IMG]

Finally I noticed that the 3.48 reader is strictly identical to the 3.19 not the slightest detail has changed.
SUMMARY: The best version of Caliber for my Server remains 3.19
I say a big thank you for your help and patience to all
see you soon

I would surely come to ask you for information on American literature, of which I read translations.
Best evening greetings here! ..

Can you run Calibre 4.23? That may be even better.
